Well here we go again. A few years ago I was at my mom's house and decided to weigh myself. The scale yelled back "221" at me and I nearly fainted. It really scared me. I remembered my mom going on a low carb diet and asked her for the book. The next day I started Atkins diet and stayed on it for 7 months. I lost a total of 73 lbs. I weighed 148 the last day of my diet. (Thanksgiving) I decided to go off the diet for a day and have dressing, potatoes, etc. Needless to say, I never went back on it. I gained back up to around 175-180 and stayed there. My husband (boyfriend at the time) and I went on the diet again at the end of 99. I lost down to 161, but didn't stay on it long. By the time we got married (July 31st, 1999) I weighed 182.5. I stayed there for the longest, but in the last year have managed to get up to 198.5. That's 16 lbs in a year! 50 lbs since I low-carbed before.
The facts: Beginning Weight- 198.5 Goal weight- 140 Pounds to lose- 58.5 Short term goal- 165 (33 ½ lbs) - 13 ½ wks.
I would like to lose 10lbs a month, which would equal to around 2 ½ lbs a week. I know that I will lose more rapidly to start, but if I average 10lbs a month, I can be at my goal in 23 weeks. (December 29th) I could start the New Year THIN!!
I read other journals on the web and it really helps and inspires me. I hope that my journal will help someone as well.
