Your life we honor
Your departure we accept
Your memory we cherish
We can tell you a little about hope, and strength, and love. The devastation of a diagnosis. The strength to pick yourself up. The determination to love, unconditionally. To enjoy every moment, every movement. And the courage to hope. To hope for a healthy baby, but to know God's plan may be different. The courage to give your child the fullness of life which God intended, when others doubted the sense of it. We say God in charge. In charge of a poem inspired by Him to give meaning. Of a grandfather's dream of mother's arms, his daughter's arms, handing her son to Jesus. Jesus took baby Gabriel, sat back down an began rocking HIS son. Now we all know God's throne is a rocking chair, too. And finally, the night before his Brith, a grandmother's prayer to God for the sight of a shooting star signaling a healthy baby. It was not HIS plan. But there is a God! The shooting star for papa's eyes only just minutes after that last kiss goodbye. In a sky totally lit by a full moon, only a handful of stars to be seen. Love in a God-given support team; Pastor Ray and Joyce, Dr. Anita VanDeburg, Patti Peck, Val Applegate, my children, my sisters. Prayers from loved ones and total strangers. An unwavering trust and confidence in Our Lord. Unending STRENGTH! Our hope is that the mission that Gabriel was sent to us to fulfill will make a difference in the lives of those lucky enough to matter that much. Of a strong little boy, whose heart wanted to stay with his loving family, but instead went to the loving arms of Jesus with a piece of all our hearts. We thank you Gabriel for your struggle to touch our lives and allow us to know and love you. We are so in love and proud of Ben and Kelly, Zach and Emmarie, and so proud and in love with our beautiful angel, Gabriel.

and when you have finished your daily task,
go to sleep in peace.
God is awake!"
|"For every hill I've had to climb,
for every stone that bruised my feet,
for all the blood and sweat and grime,
for blinding storms and burning heat,
my heart sings but a grateful son
These were the things that made me strong."

|"Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by neam; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you."
