I'm sure you've all been wondering if this page will ever be up? ^__^ Well, after a LONG hiatus from the GMD world (and fanart, in general), the Fidget Tutorial page is FINALLY up! XD For a long time, I've been drawing a lot of Fidget pics and have received a decent amount of compliments. But then, a GMD fan (and friend of mine) had once begged me to create a page that teaches people how to draw Fidget. I eventually took her advice to heart and created this page to teach all of you how to draw Fidget.
You've learned how to draw Fidget's head in the previous series. Now we're going to work on drawing Fidget's entire body. First thing to keep in mind; Fidget is three heads tall, not counting his big ears. Just take a look at the sample picture below. The red lines are the measurements:

1) The simplest way to start is by drawing three ovals. This acts as the skeleton for the body:

2) Once you've established the base, begin drawing the facial features of Fidget. I always like to start with the eyes first:

3) Now before we continue on with the rest of his face, let's take a break and draw his winged hands. The reason for this is to get you to concentrate on the little details. The hand should be drawn inside the middle circle:

4) Moving down an oval, begin drawing the peg-leg and foot. The toe of his shoe should extend somewhat beyond the oval's boundaries:

5) OK, now let's go back to the head region. Finish the rest of the head, starting with his big ears:

6) All that remains now is the few details of Fidget's yeoman costume.

7) After you've finished drawing Fidget's body, erase the ovals. And then you're done. ;)

I used the yeoman Fidget example because that was the only simplistic profile I spotted that was good for a basic tutorial. You don't necessarily have to draw him with the yeoman outfit. You can draw him in his usual pirate clothing, or try different styles of clothing for those of you who like to take a radical approach. The next and final part to this tutorial will be focused on gestures. This is the most difficult part because in the film, each gesture slightly alters his details. After all, Great Mouse Detective was a low-budget film, so their standards in accuracy were lowered. I'll see if I can simplify it somehow, but be forewarned that it'll still be difficult.
