"Hear my voice!"

Sister Ingrid is the youngest nun in Westminster Abbey. She is normally seen playing the piano during choir practice or conducting the choir. Sister Ingrid's physical stamina is weak, but her spirit is very strong. She lives by the belief that "anything is possible if one believes in God."

Sister Ingrid was born Ingrid Pia Benedict in Stockholm, Sweden. Her parents came to London when she was only three years old. Ingrid was a very sickly child. She suffered frequent periods of shallow breathing. In the middle of conversations with her friends, Ingrids breathing would often stop short (in a choking manner), her face would turn red, and she would grasp her neck. This caused her friends quite a scare and gave them the impression that she was strangling herself. At first, Ingrids parents assumed that her behavior was all an act. However, these reactions didnt only occur during conversations. When other children would play and run in the park, Ingrid was reduced to sitting and watching since she couldn't keep up with the pace of the other children. Ingrids shallow breathing also occurred while she ate or drank. Upon realizing the seriousness of Ingrids actions, her parents called a doctor for help. The doctor concluded that Ingrids choking reactions were due to an internal blockage in her breathing and that it would affect her socially for the rest of her life. Learning this made Ingrid feel very insecure. The teasing and torments from other children at her school didn't help either. As a result, Ingrid underwent periods of withdrawal and passive behavior. After coming home from school, she would retreat into her bedroom and either not speak or at other times be crying. She only showed herself during dinner time and never uttered a word. Her parents tried to comfort her, but to no avail. Things went from bad to worse when a twelve-year-old Ingrid discovered her parents gone after coming home from school. A mouse who stood by her door informed Ingrid that her parents were killed when some loose cargo that fell out of a human hansom crushed them. Ingrid was devastated by her parents' death. The fact that she had to stay at an orphanage brought her no comfort either. She had a hard time dealing with all that went wrong. Ingrid Anderson fell victim to depression.

Ingrid's emptiness consumed her. She picked at her meals, withdrew to her quarters, spoke to no one, and behaved like a wandering ghost. For one year, Ingrid remained stagnant. Then something happened that would change her life for the better. One late night, Ingrid wandered off by herself as if running away when to her misfortune she ran into a stray cat. Realizing that she was not dead, but alive, she ran for her life. Panic-stricken, she climbed up a human hansom. The hansom began to move very fast on account that the cat that pursued her caused a disturbance with the horse. Ingrid, who stood too close to the back edge, lost her balance and fell upon the stony pavement with a loud crash. The cat found her and was fixing to make a meal out of her when an officer from Scotland Yard spotted Ingrid and shot at the cat to shoo it away. The officer called for Scotland Yards' assistance, then called for a doctor. Ingrid was sent to a hospital wing under the care of many nurses. Ingrid had received such a blow from the fall that many believe that she wouldnt make it. Then one night, a few nuns flocked to her bed and prayed. One of them in particular, the Reverend Mother, held Ingrid's hand in her right arm while clutching the cross on her neck, asking for Jesus to have pity on the girl and guide her spirit back into the light. No sooner had the nun requested this than Ingrid opened her eyes. Upon spotting the nun, Ingrid impulsively confessed her troubles, thoughts, the tragic death of her parents, and everything that had went wrong in her life and then burst into tears. The Reverend Mother then assured Ingrid that no trouble is too great to bear if one prays to God for strength to get through it. She then gave Ingrid a rosary for a gift. From that point forward, Ingrid began to live.

Ingrid was then adopted the following week by a young couple who were devout Catholics. She attended Catholic school, made new friends, and got along well with her new parents. The advice that the good Reverend Mother gave Ingrid stuck in her head and gave her the drive to succeed. After she graduated, Ingrid then devoted her life to giving and helping people in need. This devotion eventually led her to the position of a nun at the Westminster Abbey (where she met Father Richards), earning her the title Sister Ingrid. As a nun, Ingrid not only continued living up to her Christian values, but she influenced those values to younger generations. Ingrid was a firm believer of New Testament principles, such as love thy enemies as well as thy neighbors and Jesus forgives any sin as long as one asks. She was a no-nonsense woman who applied these principles in her everyday life as well as in the church. Ingrid has a kind-hearted face and smiles when she comes to work. Many of the neighborhood children admire her and those with troubled minds who visited her at the church for advice leave with a clear mind. This was clearly demonstrated when she (along with Father Richards) came to the aide of Fidget, a convict on the run and ex-lackey to the infamousand recently deceasedProfessor Ratigan.

Sister Ingrid can still be seen working in Westminster Abbey to this day.
