Of all the most despicable females in history, none is more despised than the female serial killer, Selena Lunarias. When first encountered, she appears calm, cool, and collective. Nevertheless, it only serves as a mask. She is known to make human females like Salome and Delilah look like angels. She is a sadist with a heinous taste for blood and a sexual attraction for both men and women (which was, in that time frame, considered an abomination).
Born in Rome as Isabella Santino, she was the only daughter of a mother who was a Black Widow herself. Santino was raised by her mother and taught the values of life (taking life, that is). The young Isabella Santino followed in the footsteps of her mother. She committed her first murder at the age of ten, when she offered her school teacher an apple (injected with poison) outside of class. Many adults and children were appalled by the murder. No one knew who was responsible for his death (or no one said). Realizing that her first murder proved successful without being discovered, little Santino began poisoning fellow classmates. This continued until the age of seventeen when she was bored with poisoning classmates and craved a more tastier approach.
Santino dropped her birth name and adapted the name Selena Lunarias (the Greek and Latin words for moon) to avoid suspicion. She became sexually active when she encountered many handsome men at a pub. She won them over with her Italian charm and offered them many comforts and luxuries. Although she got satisfaction from the men she adored, Lunarias grew tired of them. In the end, she slaughtered them and bathed in their blood. She found this quite pleasing, thus developing a hobby of slaughtering. The idea of merciless torture fascinated her highly and the sounds of screaming victims were music to her ears. She did the same with women as she did with men. Any man or woman she fell in love with she slept with, grew tired of them, and either poisoned them or slaughtered them. Her skills of serial killing improved with each lover she became involved with. She bathed in the blood of those she slaughtered and normally spared no one, except a few criminal lovers that she assumed would be quite useful. Her merciless killings didnt prevent any rodents or bats in Italy from getting suspicious. As a result, the criminal lovers she spared were sent to do away with those who she thought were too nosy. However, their usefulness for Lunariass purposes didnt last and, like others, she had them killed. She knew too well that she couldnt keep it up without the possibility of being discovered. To avoid this, Lunarias left her criminal lovers and hitched a ride on a boat. As a result, she ended up in London and made her hideout there.

Like she did in Italy, Lunarias continued a lifetime of deception, poisoning, and slaughtering in London. This led to the encounter with the Nightwing Pirates, including the captain, Lillian Bates, and her partner, Fidget. Lunarias made attempts to flirt with Bates but was greeted with scorn, threats, and great disrespect. This didnt bother Lunarias in the least. She then fixed her eyes on Fidget. Knowing that he had a few past love affairs, Lunarias grew to like him and satisfied his needs. Bates eventually discovered this. She didnt trust Lunarias in the slightest and warned her partner to stay away. Her suspicions proved to be true because Selena Lunarias turned out to be a niece of Bruto Santino who had Bates raped in The Bushhills Tavern. Once Lunarias discovered that her uncle was killed, she decided to get even with Bates. She figured that Fidget was her weakness and developed a plan to trick him.
In late October of 1894, Lunarias won the cooperation of a few criminal mice who hated Bates and her partner. Lunarias approached Fidget once again. She told him that she had something special for him and promised to give it to him only if he would meet her by the docks. Without a second thought, Fidget accepted the invitation. The mice who hated him waited there along with Lunarias. Once Fidget made his appearance, Lunarias commanded the mice to do away with him. Although her plan looked like it was working, it didnt succeed. Fidget managed to escape. Nevertheless, Lunarias was pleased with the fact that he was seriously injured. She gladly awarded the criminal mice with the money she had promised. Several weeks later, she received news of the death of Bates, which pleased her greatly.
Lunarias continued her sexual affairs until one night on November 2, 1898, when she was walking back to her hideout. She felt very fatigued. At first, she assumed that she was just tired and needed more sleep. However, she experienced fatigue very frequently, despite the amount of sleep she got. The fatigue turned into frequent headaches, a sore throat, and patchy hair loss. Lunarias went to see a doctor. After the doctor examined her, he told her that she had developed the early stages of syphilis and only had a year and a half to live. She refused to accept any advice the doctor gave her and continued with her life of killing. However, she eventually became too weak to commit any more killing and withdrew into her hideout. There she remained until she died one night on January 13, 1900. Lunariass death bore no mourners upon her grave. She was too evil a woman to be missed.
