GMD & Pastiche Character Portraits

Title: Adandoning Girlhood

Artist: Reyelene

Dimensions 412 x 500 pixels

Medium(a): Pen, colored-pencil, marker

This is a character drawing of the "new-and-improved" Princess Reyelene. Unlike the Japanese Manga character she used to be, Reyelene is Keara O'Reilly's fairy-tale character. Reyelene, who was originally named Leila Ain Azalea Barakah, is a Turkish peasant-girl who, along with her family, is captured by the evil Sultan, who fears a prophecy that "a peasant whose qualities bare no equal will come to claim his throne." In fear of that prophecy, the Sultan has her family killed, but Reyelene runs away from the Sultan in the guise of a boy. This character drawing I did of her captures that scene where she is dressed in boy clothing and has already cut off her long hair with a dagger, thus she's abandoning girlhood.

Title: Autumn

Author: Reyelene

Dimensions: 436 x 564 pixels

Medium(a): Corel Draw

Keara O'Reilly gets caught up in a dancing frenzy because Autumn has come (her most favorite season).

Title: Captured Youth

Artist: Reyelene

Dimensions: 345 x 453 pixels

Medium(a): Adobe Illustrator

Behold! It's the Queen Mousetoria herself, only she's much younger (and more beautiful). My intent in drawing this portrait was to capture Queen Mousetoria in her youth. In order to do that, I ended up observing pictures of Queen Mousetoria and paintings of a young Queen Victoria (her human counterpart). I spent some time, studying the two carefully, making every note of detail in the features of their faces. I eventually combined the features of the two and thus came this result. Note, this is a .png file, so you might have to download the image to your computer to see it.

Title: Cavity-Inducing Cute!

Author: Chibijaime

Dimensions: 486 x 797 pixels

Medium(a): Graphic Pencil

Robin "Twitters" Durham is a sugar-glider (a "sugar-high" flying squirrel) from Australia who is very hyper and child-like in behavior, but very street-wise. Created by Chibijaime, this character is half-Scrat from Ice Age and half-Fidget from GMD. I came across this image on Deviant Art when I was looking for GMD pictures. Very cute! ^_^

Title: Drugging the Drinks

Artist: Mouse Avenger

Dimensions: 517 x 388 pixels

Medium(a):Adobe Illustrator

The bartender of The Rat Trap, Auburn (as Mouse Avenger calls him), administers the drug into the pints. Obviously, he thinks that no one is watching.

Title: Edan Pembroke

Artist: Reyelene

Dimensions: 469 x 434 pixels

Medium(a): Adobe Illustrator

Oooo, spooky! Here is a dark portrait of the imposing phantom bat, Edan "Nightshade" Pembroke. I drew this picture strictly out of Halloween spirit, plus I wanted to expand on my Illustrator skills. Hope you like. ^_^

Title: Fidget ... Anime style

Artist: Skyechan

Dimensions: 250 x 561 pixels

Medium(a): Adobe Illustrator

Skyechan is another GMD fan who also happens to be a Japanese Anime fan. For those of you who haven't seen her work, she likes to draw every existing cartoon character in Japanese Anime style. What you're looking at is her drawing of our beloved Fidget ... in Japanese Anime style. Linked to the image on Deviant Art.

Title: Hello, Niecy!

Artist: Reyelene

Dimensions: 381 x 450 pixels

Medium(a): Colored pencil, marker, pen

After watching the 1969 film version of Hello Dolly! many times, I figured it was only fitting to have Deniece dressed in the same style of clothing. In my drawing, I changed the color of the outfit in order to suit her eyes.

Artist: Reyelene

Dimensions: 339 x 476 pixels

Dimensions: 442 x 500 pixels

Medium(a): Pen, colored-pencil, marker

Artist: Reyelene

Dimensions: 600 x 733 pixels

Medium(a): Corel Draw

Black-widow killer Selena Lunarias stands atop a cliff in Death's cloak while the full moon illuminates behind her. Done in two different versions (violet-tones & red-tones), since I liked both versions equally, and part of my 100 Themes challenge.

Artist: Reyelene

Dimensions: 742 x 2436 pixels

Note that there are two different versions of this fanart: CV (colored version) and BW (black-and-white version). Since I couldn't decide which one I liked the best, I decided to post them both up.
