Clyde the Spaz Cat's Page

Now, I don't expect you to believe that this adorable little kitten turned out to be our spaz cat, but I assure you it is the truth. As you will see in the photos that follow, we have yet to capture him in action.

Clyde came to live with us in March of 1995. He quickly became the playmate of our Chihuahua Mocha. The two of them would play into exahustion. Mocha developed hairballs from grooming her little friend. Clyde was her baby and playmate. Clyde was often pinned to the floor by Mocha.

Clyde has a way of getting into places that he really doesn't belong. He would sit on my arm as I would work on the computer and chase the curser. He once hid behind the television inside the entertainment center. All that I could see were two glowing eyes staring out at me in the dark. I near....well you get the picture. The following has to be my all time favorite photo of our spaz cat.

Clyde and Mocha remained friends until Clyde became big enough to over take her. Clyde would wait on an unsuspecting Mocha to be distracted. Then in one leap he would wrap his four paws around her and roll across the living room floor with her. This quickly ended the friendship.

Clyde soon learned to entertain himself after several scraps with our two older cats, Max and B.J. in his feeble attempts at getting them to play with him.

Christmas presents a challenge for our Clyde. He is not so interested in the excitement of the season as he is at finding something good to eat. He can find his bag of x-mas treats wherever they may be - even amongst all the other furkids' bags of treats. His is the crumpled blue bag.

After working diligently at creating the perfect homemade bow for a special gift, I found our furry little friend here.

When my grandson, Nickey, was born, my daughter and spouse were living with us. Clyde was forever getting into his baby swing and all the equipment used for the first year. He was not very happy with the scoldings he was receiving. Now we cat lovers know what will happen when we scorn our cats for bad behavior....

Well, as time went by and my grandson grew into a toddler, Clyde learned fast that he had a worthy opponent. He learned to keep a safe distance from Nickey.
