Daniel finished filling the near empty pot with water from the faucet, pausing
to sniff the makeshift coffee, almost able to taste it on his palate.
Satisfied, he started back toward his office.
He froze. "Hi, guys."
"Thirsty?" Jack asked.
"Didn't you just petition for better coffee in the commissary?" Sam
asked. "That you wouldn't drink anything less?"
"I don't recall…"
"Indeed, you have," Teal'c said.
Jack raised his eyebrows. "I'm starting to think you've been scamming
us."
"I have no idea what you're talking about." Daniel adjusted his
glasses and turned, suppressing a small smile as he walked away.
