Through the eyes of madness...Poetry
Hello. Welcome to my little piece of the web. You may find it a little strange, compared to the rest of this world. Then again, you may find it is the only sane place left. If you find this to be so, get professional help immediately! Please make yourself at home and feel free to browse through my poetry via an eyeball link at left or the more detailed list below them. That is the primary reason for my having a website, although creating them is such fun. You will find links to kindred spirits, some of whom are relatives, others friends, and still others talented people whose work I show here because I admired their work so much. I hope you enjoy your visit. Please email me if you find something broken or if you just want to give your opinion. Thank you kindly!
My personal viewpoint on poetry is simple. If a subject makes you feel, you can turn it into poetry. Subjects don't necessarily have to be about a broken heart or love, you only need to write what you feel. I write about love, believe me, and I will post love poems periodically, but that is not the sole purpose of this site. The point is that poetry is everything and everything is poetry. I am a struggling poet and writer. I write every day, all day, as often as I can find time and inspiration, which is everywhere on this planet. My poetry is only an attempt to make you feel. I think it is important for people to feel. Love is not the only thing we humans feel. It may be the only warm, fuzzy feeling, other than playing with mice, snakes, or spiders, of course. Some of the poetry I post here is written about things which I really care about or believe in. Other stuff was written only for the sheer joy of writing it. That does not mean you have to care about it, nor does it mean that you will not be able to enjoy it. All of the material is copyrighted. If you would like to read a little bit about me, my poetry, my past and what makes me write, I have posted a page of prose just for that here.
At the bottom of all pages, credit is given to any sources which I used to help create that particular page. They possess the copyrights to their work. I am inexperienced, as yet, in creating graphics, so I chose to use the work of artists whose work I admire very much. The artist that created this particular page set is Ann-S-Thesia. As you can see for yourself, this lady is not only a very gifted artist, but has an incredible imagination, as well. And you don't know the half of it, unless you go and visit her site! You will be amazed, I will tell you now.
In some instances, I chose to display backgrounds which were done by my very best friend, Molly. She is, among other things, a wonderful human being, extremely beautiful, very talented, and as hard a worker as I have ever seen! Molly is a faux finisher, which means that every background of hers that I show can be done on your wall. The process is long and hard work, but Molly's artistic eye and work ethic are second to none. I took the liberty of altering some of her work, for selfish reasons, in order to accent the poetry and have some fun. That means that she may not be able to do some of the backgrounds here exactly as I have shown them (although, if anyone could do that, I guarantee it is Molly). I have included a link to Molly's email (I hope at least one of the eyeballs is eyeballing Molly), and as soon as we get her web page up, I will link this page to that as well, because I love her so much and love her work so well. I know you will love it, too! Please tell her, if so!
Well, I do not want you to hurt your eyeballs without even reading a single line of poetry, so I am going to go play with my mouse, slippery little rascal that he is. You can have fun looking around, but don't get lost! If you do, there is always a way out. You can call for me, and I may come to get you, or you can look around until you find what you are seeking. Please take the time to sign my guestbook (also an eyeball), if you can. So many do not take the time and never know what they are missing! Guestbooks aren't for geeks, anymore. Sometimes, they are not for the faint of heart, even. One more thing. Come back again some time. The artists don't like to be held captive here for very long. They worry that I will rub off on them. Silly humans. And I write poetry all over the walls and floors in here, all the time.
