Water is the blood of the Earth. It cleanses us, cools us and quenches  us.  The ocean is the heart of the mother and the pounding surf is her heartbeat.  The mists are carried upon the air, which gather and collect into luminous clouds.  When the clouds of air and water fill and reach their fullness, they overflow and quench the thirst of the earth and wash away the pollution within the air.  This unclean water then collects in lakes and ponds and flows back through creeks, streams and rivers, which are the veins and arteries that connect back to the heart of the mother.  Upon reaching the shores of the heart of the ocean, this unclean water is then cleansed and consecrated by the salt from the mothers tears.  So like our own organic bodies, the Mother Earth too functions like a living creature.  Like our own body that suffers, when our heart cannot cleanse it's blood fast enough, it grows sick and weak.  And so does the life blood of the Earth.

WATER
Our precious earth, beautiful spinning blue orb, is the body upon which we stand and what gives us substinance.  When caught up in the mundane world, we forget to take care of our body.   The soil, vegitation, trees, rocks and animals are all a part of the earth.  They are the organic material that makes up the solidity of life.  Earth is one of the essential ingrediants to all that exists and without it, life would cease to be.  That is why it is so important to recycle and clean up our mother earth.  If we polute the earth, we will pay the ultimate price for our neglect.  Mother nature has some awesome natural super powers to clean up herself.
Air is what gives the breathe of life. The natural process of nature (plants, vegitation and trees) is to produce oxygen for us to breathe.  Without Air we would suffocate.  Gentle breezes, windy days, tornados and hurricanes are all representative of Air.  They are also examples of her beneficial and destructive powers.  There is a balance of power among all elements.  Mother Nature uses this element to give life, but she can also use it take it away.  That is what instills a deep respect for nature and the elements.  Nature will use Air or any other element to cleanse herself of polution, neglect or abuse.  It's our job to get out of the way, or the price of life is what we shall have to pay.  So where ever you may live ask yourself, if you were Mother Earth, is this place being neglected or over polluted?  If the answer is yes, be prepared for cleaning day.
Fire  warms the heart and spirit.  It's what makes things grow.  If there was no light from fire, we would be emersed into total darkness.  The earth renews and is reborn through light and fire.  Forrest fires are an example of this elements destructive powers.  Fire is the most fearsome of the elements, however, life would cease to exist without it's light.  Fire gives us warmth, cooks our food and provides light for things to grow. Fire is a creative element. We use it to melt, mold, create  and to do many other tasks.  It provides us many ammenities that we take for granted.  When fire is a possiblitiy, it is a reminder to respect this element.  Look around in your everyday life and see if you can recognize fire in it's many forms, both mundanely and magickal, but always remember, "If you play with fire, you might get burned"!
