Birds only need 3 things.
1. Water
2. Food
3. Shelter
You can easily provide these three things.
1. Buy a nice sturdy bird bath. www.duncraft.com has wonderful ones. REMEMBER keep your bird bath filled with clean water always. The sound of dripping water also attracts birds. At www.duncraft.com you can buy a dripper. Also remember that birds need water in winter so you might want to buy a di-icer.
2.There are several different kinds of feeders. Tube, Hopper, Platform, and others all can be found at Duncraft or you can just build your own. Just look around your house and find things you could use for a bird feeder or you can browse around the Aviary. Remember birds just don't eat seed. They eat different fruit and worms. Don't use any pesticides except organic! Every year dozens if not hundreds of birds die from pesticides.
3. Shelter can be provided by plants or you can build a nest box. There is some really good books by Don and Lillian Stokes on this subject or you can e-mail me I would be happy to answer any questions.
