Thank you to all who take the time to assist our wildlife in need. Your efforts truly do make the difference between life and death, suffering and release.

To those anonymous donors, thank you from the bottom of our furry creatures hearts. Although you choose not to be identified, your generosity will always speak volumes.

Join us in thanking those corporations that provide financial support and supplies for our Centre. Please patronize their establishments and let them know how much you appreciate their efforts on behalf of our wildlife, and the Second Chance Wildlife Centre.

Geary, our world wide web wonder who created this beautiful site for Second Chance Wildlife Centre and everyone else. He did not charge a penny for all his work, and has made accessing help for wildlife a breeze through his assistance to us and his personal website "Wildlife in The City", check out the links page for access. As you can see he does great work, need a website? Why not support someone who supports wildlife.

Island Internet Inc., tel: (250)753-1139, 2nd floor, 59 Wharf Street, Nanaimo. www.island.net/: The guardian angel of internet providers. It is because of this Nanaimo Internet company that Second Chance now is on line at the Centre. They have generously donated a dial up connection to facilitate our assisting the Island public with wildlife issues.

Island Veterinary Clinic, (250) 753-1288, 1800 Bowen Road: Thank you for always being there for all the wild critters in need. Second Chance could not do it without your advice, diagnoses, assistance and your willingness to have me show up with wild things at any time. Nanaimo people, we are so blessed to have an animal hospital that gives so generously of their time, expertise and treatments. Please support those that support wildlife.

Departure Bay Veterinary Clinic, (250)758-1162, 5-1420 Wingrove Ave: Yvonne, you are always there when I need you. Thank you for all your help and support.

Woodgrove Animal Hospital, (250)390-5131, 6359C Hammond Bay Rd.: Dr.'s Jeff and Jayne, and the rest of the staff; you are always ready to lend a hand with wildlife in your neighborhood. Thank you for all the times you've allowed me to walk right in and get the urgent help needed for wildlife in crisis.

Cowichan Valley Animal Hospital - Dr. Brenda Bernhardt, (250)749-4442: Not only do you do what you can personally for wildlife, you make it possible for Second Chance to do exactly that, give the wild creatures a second chance at life. Your assistance with vaccines, medications etc. is absolutely invaluable, wildlife rehabilitation would be completely unaffordable without you.

AnswerPlus: The king of the mid - island answering services, without your availability after hours so many wild critters would suffer. Thank you for always taking the time to pass the wildlife calls on.

Nanaimo SPCA, (250)758-8444, 2200 Labieux Rd: Not only do you care for the domestic critters you are always ready to lend a hand and point people in the right direction for wildlife issues. Your referrals save so many wild creatures by getting them the help they need. Thank you for letting the Centre piggy back on your name, and for helping out with the nutritional requirements of the wildlife cared for here.

Animal Shelter - the Pound, (250)754-1397, 1260 Nanaimo Lakes Rd: Always ready to refer wildlife on to those that specialize in it. So many calls for help would never get anywhere without your referrals.

Shar Kare - Chase River, (250)753-7233, 1250 Trans-Canada Hwy: Val - not only do you refer wildlife in need, you assist with relocations and meals also! Your moral support has propped up a weary wildlife rehabber on too many ocassions. Thank you.

THANK YOU TO ALL THE PEOPLE WHO TAKE THE TIME TO RESCUE THE WILD CREATURES, seek appropriate help, and bring them in for treatment. Without you they would either suffer or die, your efforts may seem in vain at times, but it is never wrong to take the time to try to help our wildlife. Thank you for all your calls for help, deliveries of critters, donations of goods and money and simply taking the time to care.

THANK YOU TO ALL WHO ENDEAVOR TO WORK WITH WILDLIFE, and not go to war against them. Always seek help, usually there is a simple, cost-effective remedy to deal with problem wildlife. As to injured, orphaned or at risk wildlife, remember to always seek help before intervening. Do not give or provide access to water or food, and especially NEVER give our wildlife milk or 'formula', it can be fatal.
