Peturk sparkles for CincinnatiBy Dianna Richards
A TD Waterhouse Centre crowd of 7,583 saw former Everblades goalie Randy Petruk stop all 33 shots he faced, making Craig MacDonald`s first-period goal all the Cincinnati Cyclones would need.
Petruk came into the game with a sparkling 1.43 goals-against-average in the series. Through two periods, he had 18 saves.
"This was the game we wanted. we didn`t want them to have a game 7 on their ice," Petruk said. "This was one of my best games. At times I even surprised myself."
Midway through the second period, with the Solar Bears on the power play, Petruk stopped four rapid-fire shots from within 20 feet, once again thwarting the league`s best power play.
