Beer is a hilarious Movie and is worth Buying.
I saw beer on tv when i was sick and it was so funny i hasd to stay home another day. a Hilarious movie about a beer company who Does Perverted Commercials, and other various publicizising. this movie is One of the funniest movies of the 1980s.
Whip it out
Whip out this movie for friends for a real treat.
You'll laugh yourself into cramps with this one.
Very un-PC, but takes beer marketing to an absurd and hilarious level.
"Whip out your Norbeckers!"
The satiric film BEER reunites two actors from Mel Brooks' 1968 comedy classic, THE PRODUCERS (VHS) (DVD).
Despite a good premise and decent cast, this biting commentary on the gullibility of the American consumer (men in particular) fails to amuse only because its main message hits too close to home to be laughable.
SYNOPSIS--
When 60% of an advertisting company's revenues derive from a single client, they'll do whatever it takes to keep that account. Brewmeister A.J. Norbecker (Mars) sees his beer's market share plummet while his TV ads just go flat. Meanwhile, all of the competitions' commercials bubble with excitement.
A last-ditch campaign dreamed up on the fly by B.D. Tucker (Swit) transforms three anonymous losers into everyman heroes. With the help of director Buzz Beckerman (Torn), each television spot gets phonier and more outrageous as Norbecker's Pilsner outsells all other brands.
As of 9/09. "Beer" was not available on DVD.
