Caboolture '99 Air Spectacular

August 22 heralded the return of the biannual Caboolture Airshow, and despite the very real threat that the day would be a total wash-out, good luck prevailed and the rain stayed away until after the airshow was over and people were leaving the field. The overcast conditions did make for a rather drab backdrop however. While I personally felt the airshow was not as good as the 1997 one, I still enjoyed it - particularly the Avenger and Storch. One thing which struck me as interesting was how green and dust-free the field was compared with the '97 airshow, but I guess that is La Nina for you. What is covered in my photos is a little patchy - not every aircraft which flew is represented (no offence to the Trojan drivers, but I already have a lot of shots of Trojans from '97 and '92 already), and those which I have included are basically just my favourites. As such, there are a lot of the mighty avenger. Sit back and enjoy the photos, 'cause I have no more to say.....
