|MORE OF MY FAVORITE GUITAR PLAYERS|
Not the Marty many like to connect with Megadeth but his own Marty. His guitar means so much to me, touching some of the deepest and most sacred memories and moments in my heart, past and present. His lyrical compositions pocess this angelic touch influenced by Friedman's favorite Japanese tunes, mainly his favorite flutenist and composer Kitara. Not to forget his sky rocking solos with brilliant Jason Becker!!! I love Marty's amazing ability to trasform from being a true shreder to the king of the acoustic romances.
|Axel Rudi Pell
"It's magic...Burning symbols on the wall ..."
Axel's strings is the pure black magic, he's a powerful Merlin and a magician of his spider's blues. One can't help but to feel the smoke and the howling of the doomed escaping from underneath those fingers, expressed with great skill in Pell's dark lyrics and Jeff Sotto's mighty vocals. So dark, yet so romantically breathtaking...He's alone, he's left for dead, he's turned into a stone crying for his "Silent angel"...
"Rainy days, cold nights to remember, who will I find to stay forever?
But life without you no dreams will come true, I'd be a fool playing a pretender. Silent angel your my fantasy, silent angel I want to hold you, silent angel please stay with me...". My personal favorite:).
Beloved father of the early neo classical rock guitar roots, Yngwie eternally owes you his inspiration on many of his solo pieces and Baroque sounding organ works(not to mention the early Yngwie look:-), early Yngwie=early 80's "Rainbow"Ritchie, kneeling down in his high heeled white boots holding that yellow Fender! I'm sure you know the picture I'm describing!:-). My heart will always stop at the sound of " I surrender", "Can't let you go", "Street of Dreams", and "Gates of Babylon".
The warrior who never stops bringing beauty into this world through the sounds of his music despite his ongoing battle with a serious illness.
G-d bless you!!!
