WELCOME!
South East Aside (SEA) is an organization dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the elegant art of riding aside. We are a regional member organization of the American Sidesaddle Association, Inc. (ASA). Our members represent many different English and Western disciplines, and many different equine breeds including purebred light and drafts horses, mules, ponies and grade horses. Our riders include the very young (a 3 year old) to the very mature (she won’t say), the able-bodied and the not so able-bodied, as riding aside is a great option for therapeutic riding and for those who can no longer ride astride.
We have an on-line message board, a collection of qualified trainers and experts, links to several sidesaddle businesses, and on-line resources for those who are interested in riding aside, learning more about the sport or becoming a member of SEA and ASA.
