THE LESSER RITUAL OF THE HEXEGRAM
*This ritual is performed after the Lesser Ritual of the Pentagram.1. Stand with your feet together, left arm at your side, right arm across your body,
holding wand or other weapon upright in the median line. Face East and say:
I.N.R.I.
Yod. Nun. Resh. Yod.
Virgo, Isis, Mighty Mother
Scorpio, Apophis, Destroyer
Sol, Osiris, Slain and Risen
Isis, Apophis, Osiris, IAO.
2. Extend arms in the form of a cross and say, "The sign of Osiris Slain."
3. Raise right arm to point upwards, keeping elbow square, and lower left arm
to point downwards, elbow square, while turning head to look over left
shoulder looking down so that eyes follow the left forearm, and say,
"The sign ofthe Mourning of Isis."
4. Raise arms at a sixty degree angle above head, which is thrown back, and say,
"The sign of Apophis and Typhon."
5. Cross arms on breast, bow head, and say, "The sign of Osiris Risen."
6. Extend arms again in the sign of Osiris Slain and say, "L.V.X., Lux,
the Light of the Cross."
7. Facing East trace the Hexegram of Fire with your magickal weapon,
saying, "Ararita." *
8. Facing South trace the Hexegram of Earth saying: "Ararita."
9. Facing West trace the Hexegram of Air saying, "Ararita."
10. Facing North trace the Hexegram of Water saying, "Ararita."
*Ararita is a word which consists of the initials of a sentence which means
"One is His Beginning: One is His Individuality: His Permutation is One."
(The Banishing Ritual is identical except the directions of the
Hexegrams are reversed.)
