| May 8th 2005 It's been a rough week. The club made a rule that would have prevented Trent from driving his own car as a backup driver for me but thankfully they overturned the rule & alowed Trent to drive. This is a good thing concidering I had an accedent on the road & may not be able to drive 13 for awhile. We did make the race on the 7th but Trent blew the motor during hotlaps. The #3 conrod let go as he entered turn 3 after 10 or so laps & as a result we have 2 huge holes in our block. We now must build a new motor with very little cash to play with but I have been assured it will happen. Good thing that race was a nonpoints race or this could have hurt us even more in points after the first 2 races didnt go so good. April 29th 2005 Well Trent thinks the heavy rad cap he put on my have blown out a seal in the water passage on the timing cover & thats where the water came from. The motor will be fixed & ready to run on May 7th but seeing as its not going to be a points race he "asked" me if I mind that he drives his car for the night. Yeah like Im gonna say no. lol April 24th 2005 Well we went to the race yesterday & only got to turn one lap for qualifing because when we got to the track Trent found water in the oilpan. Trent & Steve tried everything they could & worked feverishly to fix it at the track but it was to much water. That was as far as we wanted to push it so we did the one lap for the min. amount of points we could get then went home. On top of that the club (IMS4's) were offered another race date on May 7th. That only gives us 2 weeks to figure out how the water got in the oil & fix it or build a new motor. We have now been pushed back to 12th in points. BUMMER MAN!!! Oh well we still got alot of racing ahead of us. Hope our luck changes soon or its gonna be a long season. April 10th 2005 We had a good night at the first race of the year. Trent got the carb fixed & the car ran great all night!!! We qualified 7th & got 5th in the fast heat but the main was a differant story... I started on the outside of the 4th row & was doing good (even got into 3rd place for a bit) then on about lap 5 or 6 (I think) I was under the #99 car of Chris Joyes & my car pushed up & I hit Chris by mistake. Chris saved it & I spun into the grass on turn 4 ending any hopes we had for a good finish. However a while after the spin the lead car #41 passed me but there was no way he could get away from me. I followed him to the finish ending the first race of the year in 8th place & 1 lap down. My bad.... Next race is on the 23rd of April. I am going to try to talk Trent & Steve into going to practice before then again.... We'll see if it happens April 8th 2005 We went to practice and had some fun in the sun and rain. It turns out we still have some carb problems to fix but Trent thinks he knows how to do just that. Otherwise it was a good run, I got a flat RR n ran it out of gas after so we figured that was good for the day. Damn it felt good to get in the car again!!!!! Next we race on sat.!!!!!!!!! April 5 2005 Apparently Marc started on our fender yesterday!!! Ill get some pics today if I can. We're gonna be ready for practice on the 7th!!! See ya there! (If it dont{dare i say it}rain)!!! April 4 2005 Well for the first time since the last race of 2004 the car finally fired up on sat. night. It ran smooth as glass & sounded great!!! Marc says he's going to start on our crushed fender & throw some paint @ the car this week so we hope to be ready for the last practice on April 7 2005. And we plan on being @ the first race no matter what happens from here. |
