Sacrifice

By: LadyWillow

What makes your hands tremble?
What makes your eyes repel the light?
What makes you whimper durring the day?
What makes you cry out of fear in the night?

What makes these thoughts run through your head?
What makes you feel like you may cry?
What makes you just want to end it all?
What makes you hold your breath and try to die?

What makes you lose your faith in love?
What makes you act like you're so lost?
What makes you hold your head in your hands?
What makes you pay this steep, steep cost?

What makes you so hurt and lonely inside?
What makes you push everyone away?
What makes you stop believing in hope?
What makes you quit saying 'someday'?

What makes you stand in your party of one?
What makes you hang your head in defeat?
What makes you so afraid each day?
What makes you turn from every person you meet?

What makes you bitter and jaded my friend?
What makes your soul stop soaring like a dove?
What makes you sacrifice your joy?

Who says you cannot fall in love?
