Jamie Bisher Jamie Bisher was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia where his interest in Confederate ancestors grew into a fascination with civil wars and desperate causes. As a child he cultivated penpals in Russia and even finagled visits to the Soviet Embassy in Washington. He is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, has a graduate certificate in linguistics from American University and a master's degree in international management from the University of Maryland, and works on international projects for an engineering firm in Maryland, where he lives with his wife and brood.
