Education, training, employment: not only are these necessary elements of survival, they are important to quality of life, ours and that of out community, our nation and our world. (GENESSA would like to point out that education and training are not synonymous, and that employment is not the only goal of education.) That is not to say you'll save the world simply by clicking on any of the following links -- but it couldn't hurt!
For employment links, click HERE(if the link doesn't work, or leads to a page with nothing much on it yet, that would be because AOL are GENESSA's site and we are still reconstructing) and for education resources read on.
GENESSA's Lady G spent a decade teaching English (and other subjects IN English) in Japan, as well as a summer teaching ESL in English (mostly to Italians) in England (she was the token Yank) and a semester or two teaching acting to itty bitty kiddies in a Montessori school in the U.S. She has come to the conclusion (or actually the middle) that teaching is quite an educational experience.
You may read her article about using the TV series Quantum Leap as a TESL tool, entitled QUANTUM LANGUAGE LEAPS.
Enjoy another one of Lady G's essays about teaching English in Japan: BOTH ENDS OF THE STICK
Although Lady G graduated from The American University in Washington, D.C., most of her college education was garnered, in or out of classrooms, at the gorgeous Florham/Madison, N.J. Campus of Fairleigh Dickinson University. Check out their live webcam! Be careful, though, about taking them up on their offer to visit the campus. You won't want to leave, no matter what the season.
