Vampire: The Dark Ages |

When setting a chronicle in the dark ages it is best to have as much background knowledge about the time period as possible. If you can find a map of the country you want to set the chronicle in the time period you want it so much the better. The local library is a wealth of knowledge about who invented what and when, and how commonly available it was at the time. Periodic music may help to set the scene and it would be a good idea to know what the general beliefs/misconceptions about science and supernaturals were at the time. It is quite hard to detach yourself from the things that you already know have come to pass as a player and it is often quite tempting to make actions we would have no way of justifying. (I'm just popping over to America to discover gold.) |
