Skircoat Road garage hosted the body repair shop. Here are two Park Royal Regent III's and a Roe Regal III. Although the Park Royal's were delivered in 1949, they had been built with timber not fully seasoned, a leftover from WWII practices. Consequently they were major maintenance items as the body gradually came apart. I remember them creaking like a sailing ship! Note the absence of safety rails on the "scaffolding".
Many thanks to all who have provided additional photographs for this site. Credits are shown where known, but sincere apologies where not. Why not drop me a line?
