A good selection of finds at the evenings meeting. A local 2 gallon flagon bought via the bottle forum by Johnnny.  C R GATCOMB LONDON ROAD ALDERSHOT. It is very unusual to find slab seal flagons in the South of England, as they are more common further up the country. Originally a car boot find. The other 2 gallon local flagon YEOMAN, FARNBOROUGH was a purchase by Hodgy at the Reading show. Mick brought along the GEORGE GALES HORNDEAN jug. It is only about 20 years old but it has a very good quality picture on front. Came from an ex landlady who had it in her pub.         John took a shine to the 1/2 gallon  BEVAN of NEATH flagon at the UK National. This is the same company which did the blue top GB with the heart on front.     The EGBERT FRYMAN of RYE was Johns £3 find at a boot fair.

Ivan brought along the SCHONS patent pair of bottles. The broken codd part was dug a week earlier than the other part on the same dump. Interesting how sick the intact bottle is There are only around 3 known of this rare patent. The codd has 4 dimples compared to the 2 dimpled varieties on the other known examples. Embossed on bottles TWIN BOTTLING CO LONDON.    The loo pull was another boot sale purchase by John.

Johnny's £2 miniature green syphon was interesting. It has no name or writing on it but there is an old label on back stating SYPHONS ARE IN SHORT SUPPLY. WILL YOU PLEASE RETURN THIS SYPHON TO YOUR SUPPLIER AS SOON AS IT IS EMPTY, SO THAT WE MAY BE ABLE TO SEND YOU A FULL ONE. SCHWEPPES LTD. But why such a small bottle. Was it really filled up or was it just an advertising piece?    Dave acquired the ground pontilled green eyebath at an antique fair.
