Americana Art
Art inspired by the loss of rural America
Growing up in the upper midwest I have seen the family farm disapear like the American Buffalo. Along with the family farms dieing off so are the rural towns that they supported.
Our landscape has turned into stripmalls, big box retail, housing developements, etc.
No more are the local hardware stores, family grocery stores, shoe stores, bakeries, feed mills or anything else, its all gone for the most part, some of the buildings remain.
Thru my art work I am trying to preserve some of my memories of the above for future generations and for any one interested.
