BEACH ANGLING COMPETITION BYELAWS


1. A member shall use one rod only with reel and running line. One other reserved rod shall only be put together if the first rod is disabled or has been previously dismantled.

2.The terminal tackle attached thereto shall have no more than three hooks, a treble hook to count as 1 hook. This byelaw will also apply while fishing for bait,
MAXIMUM of 3 hooks on terminal tackle, IN TOTAL at any one time.

3.Sets of tackle may be baited but
not in use at the same time.

4. A rod and line must be operated only by the
individual concerned.

5. Competitors weighing-in fish must present their bags within a stipulated time after the competition
finishing time.

6. If through unavoidable entanglement another anglers terminal tackle is pulled in, provided that angler is in attendance of his/her rod, the fish shall not be
disqualified. Any fish landed on lost tackle shall be disqualified, as shall be any fish hooked by two or more persons.

7. In the event of a dispute, the decision of a quorum of three Committee Members or the Competition Secretary shall be final.

8. Any protest regarding a competition must be received
immediately after the weigh-in being completed and prior to the prize giving.

9. Any bags of fish presented for weigh-in at competitions by a competitor that contains
three or more fish under the minimum specified size will have their bag of fish DISQUALIFIED.

10. The committee reserves the
right to refuse any entry to any competition without stating reasons.

11. All undersize fish to be returned to the sea and all fish retained by the angler must be
quickly killed by humane method.
