Something Grander

April 9th, 2004

None are perfect no matter what is done
Struggling through these lessons
After lesson after lesson
Always learning never earning
Character chiseled from this heart of granite
Marble, iron, steel
Each mistake,
Each attempt at succeeding
Imperfections magnified
The hammer comes down
Chips fly as the self shakes and trembles
Dreading the fall, the weight of glory
Shaping the soul into something grander
Even glorious.
