| Well, it wasn’t long before I just HAD to have another Basenji. I wanted to find a reputable breeder, but didn’t know how. Then one day I was just looking around for fun on the internet at some Basenji sites. I saw a few breeders, but they really didn’t appeal to me. Then I came across this one site. And for some reason, it stuck out. I read about her dogs, and then I saw that she was planning on having a litter! I wanted to email her, but I had never done anything like this, and was really nervous. I had no idea what to say. But needless to say, I contacted her and we began communicating through email. Eight months later, Kody came to live with me. Kody was born on December 17, 2000. He was bred by Elizabeth Straub of Keltwyn Basenjis, and Sandra Anderson of Anya Basenjis. Kody is such a sweetheart. He is so easy to please, and he loves to be around people. I was very surprised at what a well-behaved boy he was compared to Brinkley. He is obedient and a very fast learner. I am lucky to have him. Thank you, Beth and Sam, for breeding this beautiful boy and for letting me have him. I originally intended to compete with Kody in conformation, but certain circumstances, which are beyond anyone's control, prevented that. First and foremost he is my loving companion. I will be entering him in lure coursing and LGRA trials this season. I am also toying with the idea of agility classes. |
