An Egyptian Tale

A deceitful murder
Once plagued Pharaoh land
The dissection of a brother
Of Osiris, the man

Scattering the parts
Set was then sure
"He'll never be whole,
This one so pure."

But Isis, a goddess
The giver of life
Journeyed the land
Her Osiris in strife

Through regions unknown
She faithfully delved
But the nymphs of the river
Kept a piece for themselves

During this time
Horus made haste
And soon it was death
Set would next taste

And so goes this tale
Of eons before us
This story passed on
Through the Eye of Horus
