Update: April 17th - The dress is almost complete now, I only need to add some details to the cape and more flowers to the skirt. I wore the dress to Jedi-Con in Germany over Easter, and can't wait to wear it again for the traditional spring ball here in Uppsala. |

This is my page where I will publish the progress of my picnic-dress. Since this will be my ball gown, and since I don't have access to many of the things other people have used to recreate this dress I'm not going for total accuracy. |

I totally fell in love with this dress when I saw it, it is very romantic with a historical feeling to it.
My time frame is to be finished with the corset and the shawl for the last weekend in october, and hopefully be able to wear the full gown for the spring ball of 2004.

Since I'm living in Sweden I will not be able to use most of the pattern suggestions or fabrics that other people have used. For patterns I'm mostly relying on Stoff&Stil, which is a catalogue you can order in Denmark, Sweden and Norway. I've also bought the fabric for the corset from them.
