Headband and hairbuns
I have not been able to find a green ribbon in a suitable colour, so for now I'm using a dark green satin ribbon. In the middle I have made a line of gold, and then over it I'm embroidering roses in the same colours as on the corset.
I ordered the bun covers from Lady McSnood. I have filled them with fake hair (brand Outré). I had some problems finding hair in my own colour, since I have a lot of natural highlights, but I used two wefts of hair that were very close to the darker parts of my hair, and one lighter weft to brighten it up.
This was the result. In order to attach the buns to my head I first made a small braid that I pinned from my forehead to the back. I attached the buns to that braid, and then hid the braid under the headband and some strands of hair. When I get time I will try to fill the edges of the headband with gold to make it more accurate.
The next time I wore the dress I had help with the hair, and the result was much better. I skipped the braid and just fastened the buns directly into the hair.
