| For the corset I'm using a Corsage top from Stoff&Stil | |||||||||||||||||||
| The corset consists of two layers and is boned with plastic. So far I think this is a very easy pattern for beginners, it is my first try on a corset at all. | |||||||||||||||||||

| The fabric used is a golden crepe satin, it variates from the colours in the original corset and will be more towards a metallic gold. The light on this pic is dreadful, I had to use a lot of flash, so the colour is a bit darker but still very metallic. The fabric also have a structure of very small crinkles. | |||||||||||||||||||

| This pic of the inner layer of the corset gives a pretty good view of the shape of it. It's draped on my sister's dress form, and she's a lot smaller than I, so it doesn't exactly fit perfectly. | |||||||||||||||||||
| For the embroideries I'm using the sketches done by Obi-Dawn Kenobi, which can be found here. For outlining the golden flames I'm using DMC 5287 For filling the flames I'm using DMC 444 and Mayflower (sorry lost the number) and DMC 745 For the roses I use DMC 3685, 3687, 3688 For the daisies I use DMC 746 and the Mayflower thread For the leaves and stems I use DMC 92 My roses are more red and pink than the originals, which are more towards lighter pink and lilac. |
