Phoenix From The Flames

 

To hell and back

Braving the raging storm

Of recovery

Skin singed hair seared

From my body naked exposed

Burned to the very bone

Returned polished and new

With strength and hunger

Not known to those protected

Courage renewed

A forte w/demons

And devils in duel

Satan unleashed his horrid host

And retreated defeated

And I in muse

Sang my victory song

At this moment of newfound dawn
