Hell on Earth

 

 

Eyeglass

Peer into the mind depth

Dark and foreboding

Lover entwined

To the serpent rainbow

Repent

And find daylight

It was God’s token promise

That the next apocalypse

Would be with fire

Man’s suicide genocide monumental homicide

Encompass the earth

In hellish flames

I saw the angels rise

And the dead walk

Stalking their murderers

With fierce glowing eyes

Maddened by centuries of trapped dust

I rode the chariot with Christ

And vanquished the evil-doers

I took notes

And watched

As the holy ascended to Heaven

He turned to me saying,

“You wondered where Hell was,

Well, you were in it

The whole time.”
