Atmosphere
Great oak soak up life in downpour
More to be with you as I watch
This sacred right last to thee
Larger and living in abundance
Red center veins of thirsty relief
Ring to tell your time on earth
Much longer than bipedal thought
creature me
Leave your leaves
Intact in green to shade my skin
And grow my need to love you
Feed on air we share in two-fold
Harmony all around in earthen ground
You balance out the concrete and steel
And keep alive natures place
As real and ambivalent to mans
Control of your ancient role as keeper
of
This planet and the roots of its soul
