My 1970 Road Runner Resto page
Well, this is the beginning of my second dream car, the first being the B'cuda on the other pages. This will be built into a car i believe Mopar should have built, A Superbird convertible.
I bought this car for the sum of $1400 bucks Canadian. Its all there, but needs some floor/body/frame work. Believe it or not, this is in much better shape than the barracuda was 8).
I bought this car on April 1'99. Yes, April fools day (don't ask about the front end) but it suits the day doesn't it? It is a pretty stripper Road Runner, with the only extra cost item being
the lemon twist paint. Manual steering/brakes, am radio, and stripe delete on the trunk was about all the fender tag said. It is a Factory Road Runner, 383 auto,3.23s, bench seat, and has a power top.
Now the task begins to look for all those elusive Superbird parts, and start the resto on the car.

What, a 70 Coronet front end on a 70 Road Runner
The front end kinda looks like it was made for the car
Ever wonder what a Superbird looks like without a nose
Looks like a Coronet doesn't it
Bumper support and trunk floor are gone on the drivers side
Lots of previous bondo in that quarter
Quarter isn't that bad, but i'll still install a new one
Trunk lid is full of bondo, and that quarter is too
Factory Lemon twist under all that red paint
Inner fenders just need a good blasting
This is the way i got it and trailered it home
