The first Pyrenean Mountain Dog arrived at Tarascon in 1988. Isaba
soon wound herself around our hearts and became an integral part of
our family. In 1990 she whelped a litter of six, four of whom became
show dogs and are all champions. Her daughter Luka was soon joined by
a young male Yoda and both grew up and competed at shows together
under the watchful eye of Isaba. Both had many successes at the shows
especially Yoda who became a group winner. Their first litter produced
seven pups, two of whom stayed with their parents and Grandmother.
Merlot and Leah joined their parents in the show ring and were soon
being noticed. Both became champions as well as group and show
winners. Several years later a litter of eight was whelped and Misty
joined the rest of the family. She was also successful in the show ring and
whelped her first litter of 7 girls in April1999. Her daughter Ayla then
joined us and followed in the footsteps of her parents and grandparents
in the show ring. In April 2001 Misty's second litter was born and now
Frodo is making his mark in the show ring and taking Tarascon's fame
to even greater heights. Ayla's first litter was born in March 2002. One
lone pup, Stryder. In 2003 she has whelped another litter, this time 4
boys. Of this litter we kept a blonde boy we have called The Snowman.
We also see the arrival of Willow, a daughter of Frodo at this time. This
arrival renews the long association we have had with the Ariege kennel.
In 2005 Ayla whelped a litter of 9 from which we have kept Erin. Three
years later Cecile joins us. On this site these Pyrs tell their story. You

their successes and links to related sites. Two New Zealand bred
Pyreneans have achieved the ultimate prize in the Allbreed show ring.
