- from the compound word, masikap sa buhay, which means industrious, 
                        resourceful, diligent.
     3 Stars - represent Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao and also symbolize notable
                   achievements.
     8 Sunrays - the eight provinces that revolted against Spain.
     The Knight - the true epitome of chivalry.
     The Cadet - the modern day knight who is in keeping the finest tradition of chivalry 
                        coupled with courage, integrity and loyalty.
     The Chain - the eight companies of the Cadet Corps.
     Swords - the military profession and bespeak the authority of men who carry those 
                     swords  with them.
     Laurel Leaves - the highest honor accorded to men with overwhelming integrity.
     The Red Color Of The Ribbon- bravery.
     The Pair Of Wings - the soaring high performance of duties and responsibilities.
     The Motto GOD, COUNTRY, PEOPLE - the devotion to duty placing God 
      Almighty above anyone else and anything else, followed by loyalty to the country
