Only 3 books of prose were found from a total of 11 books produced for children of various ages from 1990 to 2003, the remainder being poetry. Two female authors and 9 male authors/editors out of the 11 total.

  In Adiboni Tojikiston 32 writers of all ages are female out of a total of  360 writers listed: many use a single pen-name or first name. (= just under one on ten or less than 10% of writers in Tajikistan are female.) 29 marked writers are involved with childrens literature of which 6 are female, (over 20%).

 

  16 Books have been produced since 1996 by the NGO Istiqbol:
