I have a question for you. What is the purpose of
your life and your church? Many of us would say the purpose of our life is to
become more like Jesus. To fulfill some ministry (usually to the saints) that He
has called us to. That the purpose of a church is to teach believers the
victorious over coming life. But God's idea of what our purpose in life is sometimes different than what we think. After many years of being saved I have started asking the question, "Why am I here? What is all this going to church every service and getting built up for?". See we go to church every Sunday, in hopes of obtaining a little more victory here, a little more there. Every week is the same, Christian building up other Christians. Well this is good, but we tend to forget WHY we are being built up. We should NOT BE CONTENT with just going to church service after service meeting only the needs of other Christians..
Matt 6:33 But seek ye
first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness;
and all these things shall be
added unto you
This has always been my 'favorite' scripture. Seek God FIRST. And that's good, but I have come to the realisation, or REVELATION, that it means far more than what I used to think. I am sure that we would all agree we need to seek the
Kingdom of God first. But we tend to think that the kingdom of
God is some future kingdom or reign. But it's not, the kingdom of God is within
us...
Luke 17:20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when
the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and
said, The kingdom of God cometh not
with observation:
21 Neither shall they
say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within
you.

Mt 6:20
But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor
rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor
steal:
Treasures in Heaven where moth and dust does not
corrupt. I have always thought this meant more of 'doing good deeds' or
being an 'overcomer'. Earning a reward, hearing 'well done good and faithful
servant'. That type of thing. But treasures in heaven may not be what you are
used to thinking of it as... It's not just good 'works' or obedience. ALthough obedience is an important part!
Ex 19:5 Now therefore, if ye
will obey my voice indeed, and keep my
covenant,
then ye shall be a
peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is
mine:
2 Cor 4:7 But we have
this treasure in earthen vessels,
that the excellency of
the power may be of God, and not of us.
So treasures in heaven are really the "treasure" in earthen vessels. Are you not the 'vessel' of God? Does He not reside in you? We are the vessel where the Spirit of God resides. WE are treasures in Heaven.
Let's go back to the beginning and see what God told
Adam to do.
Gen 1:28 "Be fruitful and
multiply"
Adam sinned and separated us from
God. And we have been given the ministry of reconciliation
2Co 5:18
Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through
Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of
reconciliation,
Jesus told us to "go ye into all the world and preach
the gospel to every creature"(mark 16:15). What is the gospel? That
Jesus Christ ( the anointed one and His anointing).
mt 4: 17 From that time
Jesus began to preach and to say,
"Repent, for the kingdom of
heaven is at hand."
If our life is to mean anything we must leave an
inheritance.
Eph 1:1818 the eyes of your
understanding being
enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the
riches of the glory of His inheritance in the
saints,
1 PETER 1: 4 to an
inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved
in heaven for you, 5 who are kept by the power of God through faith
for salvation ready to be revealed in the last
time.
Treasure in Heaven. Lay up for yourself TREASURE IN HEAVEN that is
undefiled and does not fade away, that moth and rust does not corrupt! Eternal
life, SOULS!
2 Cor 4:1 Therefore seeing
we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; 2 But have
renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, F9 not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of
God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every
man's conscience in the sight of God. 3 But if our gospel be hid, it is
hid to them that are lost: 4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded
the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of
Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. 5 For we
preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for
Jesus' sake. 6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness,
hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God
in the face of Jesus Christ. 7 But we have this treasure in earthen
vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of
us.
Let your light shine! Go ye into all the
world!!!
