Battle It Out In Birmingham is for version 1.3. It has 7 levels and the file is 269KB in size. The file name is burm.zip. It was released on April 25, 1999.

Battle It Out In Birmingham has fair level design and fair to good gameplay. It's like playing one big city map that was broken up into 7 sections. There is not a lot of detail with lots of empty or close to empty rooms. Many of the levels can be finished very quickly if you happen to go in the right direction and find the nuke button. That happened to me on level 1. I only had to kill about half the aliens on the level before I can across the nuke button. Level 6 I was able to run to the nuke button only having to kill about 6 aliens on the way. Gameplay varies from easy to hard. I rate this TC as fair with 2 out of 5 stars.

6/30/10 SolidSnake's Review:

Sure, this TC has a realistic level design. Unfortunatly the author only worked on it: there's no gameplay. All you have to do is to get to the exit. You can finish any level without killing anyone. I couldn't finish it and got stuck in level 3 because an army of aliens kicked my ass at the beginning.

too bad... The level design was excellent.

I give it 2 out of 5 stars.

4/14/10 Xenomorph1's Review:

A true, realistic city compared to SSI's Washington D.C. It was somewhat a map pack, but with all-out new episodes. The locations are based on the true, real-life Birmingham. The author said that Duke it out in D.C. was nearly non-realistic, so he decided to make this episode to become a lot more realistic.

SCORE: 6/10

TheXenomorph1TC's Award: AWESOME TC
