Bolognano
Antonio thought we would like to see the village of Bolognano.  This is the most charming small village in the area as you can see by the photos below... Antonio was searching  for a ravine and as we strolled down these narrow streets which were too narrow for even small cars, straight ahead was a young woman who was returning from the market with grocery bags in hand.  She was very friendly and explained where the ravine was, chatted with us for a few moments and then headed down the street towards her home.

I am always amazed at how friendly the village and town folks are throughout Italy.  We traveled to many places just like Bolognano where tourism is not large ~ the only real sights to see are beautiful  flowers, bushes and trees,  old cobblestone streets and paths, and fantastic landscapes of ravines, mountains, and local wildlife ~ mostly God's nature at its very best.

There is no "night-life nor movie theaters; no amusement parks or bowling alleys; no golf courses and busy streets, and certianly no  hustle and bustle, skyscrapers or business districts.  Those that greet us on the cobblestone streets are courteous and often curious and I truly love all of these assets about village/town life in Italia...

I thought to myself ~ "I could live here and be happy..."

Antonio perplexed over where the overlook for the ravine is located
Thirsty?  The villages offer drinking fountains to quench thirst
As is common in these types of villages and towns, there are no "yards"... but Italians do love their bushes and flowers, and will plant them up against their home
These stone steps are at the end of one of the streets which lead to the overlook for the ravine
And, where this is no soil their doorways are graced with lovely blooms planted in pots
Excellent site on Bolognano
