Here's the real deal. This is the first picture I took of the car when I bought it. The only thing I had done at this point was installation of some new air shocks. It was sagging badly due to worn out coil springs in the rear. I know a lot of traditionalists prefer the orginal look with the back end a little lower than the front. Next summer I plan to lower the front end by about 2 inches. I like 'em low and level.
I haven't done any major updates to the body or the paint. I bought it in the conditions you see in these pictures. Although it looks cherry here, if you were to get a good close up look, you would see its not quite as nice as it appears from 20 feet. A new paint job is in the "5 year plan". |
