IN-UNIVERSE BIOGRAPHY:

On March 24th, 2007 (in the original time-line), 24-year-old William Raymer died of a massive cardiac disruption after reading a wedding announcement regarding his high-school sweetheart Constance “Connie” Wilson and a man named Randolph Carter.

When Raymer's soul arrived in heaven, Lord Celebi, administrator of the Gates of Eternity, noticed that there was a mistake: that William was not supposed to die at that point in his life's journey. So, using his time-travel abilities, Lord Celebi sent William's soul back to the crossroads of his destiny: the Desert Hills Center for Youth and Families in Tucson, Arizona circa August 1998.

As William's soul traveled back to that point in time, it collided and merged with the energies of AkaRed, keeper of the Super Sentai Address Book and the souls of Super Sentai's Red Warriors.

After the Merging, William found himself possessed of the ability to make anything he can imagine real, an ability he demonstrated to Admiral William Todman and other members of the crew of the USS Thuy Trang by producing a phaser rifle out of thin air.

After learning how Randolph Carter engineered William's getting his General Equivalency Diploma in the original time-line, William decided to finish his remaining two years at Kofa High School upon his return to his hometown of Yuma, Arizona.

While sleeping on a bench outside a Veteran's Administration hospital on the outskirts of Tucson, William was visited by the spirit of AkaRed. AkaRed explained to William about the Merging and how William now had to use his new-found powers for good.

William would soon have an opportunity to do just that: at a McDonald's restaurant in Gila Bend, Arizona, four class-X Cylon Centurions stormed in and hunted for William and his family. As the family ran out of the restaurant, William ran into a bathroom and transformed into AkaRed using a necklace pendant in the shape of the insignia on AkaRed's left breast.

After saving his sister, Luella, from one Centurion by destroying it, William/AkaRed transformed into “Red Falcon,” the Red Warrior/leader of the Sentai team known as “Choju Sentai Liveman” (Super-Beast Taskforce Liveman) and used Red Falcon's “Falcon Break” sword slash attack to destroy the remaining Centurions (and half the McDonald's in the process!). William then used his reality-bending powers to restore the McDonald's to normal.

On the night of the Kofa High Senior Prom on May 2nd, 2000 (corrected time-line), the spirits of AkaRed and all 31 Red Warriors (as of William's death in the original time-line) visited William in a daydream as William went to pick up Connie. AkaRed then demonstrated to William how to use the Legacy Morpher, a cell phone-like transformation device and replacement for the necklace, which AkaRed described as “not an efficient henshin (transformation) device.” (Animated Earth III: A Second Chance)

Occasionally, AkaRed (as with the Senior Prom appearance) will appear to William in the form of a spirit, to offer advice. AkaRed makes such an appearance to encourage William to audition for the role of Sonny Malone in the Broadway production of Xanadu. (Animated Earth IV: United We Stand)

ABILITIES:

(Most of the abilities described here were executed by AkaRed in GoGo Sentai Boukenger vs. Super Sentai. Those AkaRed abilities exclusive to the Animated Earth series will be highlighted in bold.)

Soul Advent: AkaRed has the ability to become any of the Red Warriors, thereby assuming control over their respective arsenals and fighting techniques. In GoGo Sentai Boukenger vs. Super Sentai, AkaRed only became two Red Warriors: MagiRed from Mahou Sentai Magiranger and GaoRed from Hyakujuu Sentai Gaoranger, though in his section of the roll call sequence, he also became the Red Warriors of every Sentai team depicted in the film (save BoukenRed).

Weapons Re-creation: AkaRed also possesses the ability to recreate any weapon used by a Red Warrior, which he himself can use or yield to another. In GoGo Sentai Boukenger vs. Super Sentai, AkaRed used his powers to re-create the Tyranno Rod (AbareRed's personal weapon from Bakuryu Sentai Abaranger) which he himself used, as well as the D-Magnum (DekaRed's personal sidearm from Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger) and Hayate Maru (a sword weapon from Ninpu Sentai Hurricanger) for BoukenRed to use.

Imagination Re-Creation: After the merging of William Raymer's and AkaRed's souls, William gained the ability to recreate any object he can imagine. This comes from a combination of AkaRed's “Weapons Re-creation” ability and William's over-active imagination. On the USS Thuy Trang, William (before learning of AkaRed and the Merging) used this ability to produce a Type-III Starfleet phaser rifle, which he brandished at Admiral Todman. William can only use this ability in his “civilian” (unmorphed) form. (Animated Earth III: A Second Chance)

After winning the role of Sonny Malone in the Broadway production of Xanadu, William used the “Imagination Re-creation” ability to re-create the “Xanadu” nightclub jacket worn by actor Michael Beck as Sonny in the 1980 film on which the Broadway production was based. However, instead of the name “Sonny” on the left breast, the notation “William Raymer as 'Sonny'” is present. (Animated Earth IV: United We Stand)
