This site includes some of the descendants of Richard Morton
(b1640, Hartford, Connecticut). He was among the first settlers of the Connecticut
River Valley. He was a blacksmith and made his home at Hatfield, Massachusetts.
It also includes the descendents of Richard's Great Great grandson, Silas Morton
(b 1783, Amherst, Massachusetts). Silas moved with his wife and children to Keswick,
Ontario, Canada in 1824.
