Once you have enough papers stored on disk, you can cut and paste things without rewriting them everytime. It can save a lot of time. These templates will set up a Word Perfect 7.0 document in the format of the following forms:

Medication Worksheet
Laboratory & Diagnostic Testing
Medical Treatments
Nursing Care Plan (this format is different, but works well)
Developmental Profile

If you aren't sure how to do all this, just follow the instructions below. (You may want to print them out.)

1. Click on the set you want to download.
2. The file you will dowload is a zip file. You will need an unzipping program to open it. If you don't have one you can get a free, evaluation version from WinZip® - Download Page .
3. When you unzip the files, unzip them to C: > Corel > Office7 (it may work with other versions) > Template > Educate.

**Self-Extracting Version: Just double click on it and it will put the templates in the right spot. They will be listed under the template group "Nursing."

To use a template in Word Perfect:

1. Start Word Perfect.
2. Click on "File," "New."
3. When the template menu comes up click on Educate (under the "Group" heading). That will bring up your list of nursing templates. (If you request the self extracting version, they will be in Nursing instead of Educate.)
4. Click on the template you want to use and then click "Select."
5. A document is created and ready for you to type into. (Note: if you type over the formatted information it disappears. Use "Undo" to correct it or you will lose the formatting in that document. The template will still be OK.)
