Eulus Smith Eulus Smith was born October 13, 1931 in Anderson,SC. His parents were John and Eula Mae Smith. He had several brothers and sisters, whom I am still learning the names of. As this information becomes available to me I will make it available here. I do not know a lot about Eulus. He was my grandfather, but I never had the privilege of meeting him. From his birth, I have learned that he found himself in Saluda, SC; where he met my grandmother, Gladys Blackwell [maiden name]. They were married in Saluda, SC in January of 1950. On November 29, 1950 they celebrated the birth of a son [my dad], Larry Allen Miller. Apparently, not to long after this the marriage fell apart and they divorced. [I am not sure of the date.] The next I learn of him he is in NC. April 1967 he is incarcerated in the NC Department of Corrections- Charlotte for "Abandonment". May 1967, he ESCAPED never to be caught. The dept of corrections removed his name from their books in February 2009. Honestly I don't believe they looked very hard since he had land in his name in Louisville, KY! Louisville is where I next find Eulus. It appears he moved several times before finally settling on Lytle St. in Louisville. He retired from Gold Seal Pest Control, Inc. Somewhere along the way of the journey of his life he remarried. He married Rosemary Sterns. Together they had 2 children, Judy M Smith and Kenneth B Smith. He also had step children:Sharon K Childers, Karen L Yeary, Marsha Sinclair, Wendy Thompson, and Michael E Nicholson. His journey in this life ended July 3, 1997. His final resting place takes him to Mount Carmel Cemetery,Campbellsburg,Ind. His obituary credits him with having been an Army veteran of the Korean War.
