( I just started on this site, and I have much, much, more to add to it, this is just a fast start. Next section will be William's adventures in Ohio and battles with the Indians, building a fort McIntosh and fort Laurens, in time I will come back and add more details on the battles of Boundbrook, Brandywine, Clouds, Reading Furnace, Germantown, the Paoli Massacre, Please contribute any info you may have to build the Official William Ferguson Web Site I'm also planning to move from Yahoo to a William Ferguson Domain in the near future).....

William and his brother came to America in 1771 and settled in Bedford, Pennsylvania.

In 1773 William is listed as a (Taxable inhabitant of Bedford County) in the Township of Mount Pleasent. Other names on the Taxable inhabitant list made the trip later to Kentucky
