Clinic Policies (effective as of July 1st ,2005)
By agreeing to treatment with Lotus Oriental Therapies (Mr. Neil Pitt) clients are also agreeing to the following clinic policies and procedures. If these policies / procedures are unacceptable to the client then Lotus Oriental Therapies reserves the right to refuse treatment and / or the client has the right to refuse treatment and leave at no charge to them (unless treatment has begun, then please refer to ”j” below).
a) The client is liable for cancellation ,no show and booking change fees where applicable (please ask Mr. Pitt for the current rates of these charges)
1) Cancellation fee applies to day before or same day cancellation.
2) No show fee applies to the client not coming for treatment at the set time/day and not notifying Mr .Pitt of non attendance in advance.
3) Booking change fee applies to changing your booking the day before and on the day of treatment.
b) The treatment will be conducted fully clothed unless there is the need for direct skin contact such as oil , moxa or pain patch treatments.
c) The client receives all treatments provided at their own risk
d) Infection Control:
1) A face mask and / or gloves will be worn by Mr. Pitt (or the client) if a client presents for treatment with a communicable / infectious disease (regardless of the type or severity of the infection carried by the client).
2) The client must have any open wounds or infectious skin conditions properly covered before coming for treatment.
3) The client must advise Mr. Pitt of any infectious diseases / conditions they may have prior to receiving treatment.
4) The client must use the towel marked “Client Towel” when using the toilet.
e) Clients must park on Riley Street unless permission is given to park on property.
f) Clients are liable for costs if they damage any of the clinic property or any property pertaining to 14 Riley St. Holden Hill , SA 5088
g) Clients must turn off their mobile phones before receiving treatment.
h) For the safety of the client and to aid the effectiveness of treatment ,clients must advise Mr. Pitt of any and all health problems before receiving treatment .
i) For the safety of the client and to aid the effectiveness of treatment ,clients must advise Mr. Pitt of any other treatments / therapies they are receiving or medications that they are taking before receiving treatment .
j) If the client is not happy with the treatment being provided they may ask Mr. Pitt to stop the treatment at any time and leave (only paying for the treatment already received up until that time).
k) Mr. Pitt holds the right to cancel appointments at any time without further clarification
l) The client accepts that Mr. Pitt is fully qualified in all modalities that he practices.
m) IMPORTANT: by entering this premises and / or agreeing to treatment with Mr. Pitt (trading as Lotus Oriental Therapies) you do so on the condition that you have No Right of Action against Mr. Pitt (trading as Lotus Oriental Therapies),his servants or agents, for any injury to you or any person or loss of or damage to any property. The above applies regardless of how the injury ,loss or damage is caused, even if it is caused by Negligence or Breach of Contract on behalf of Mr. Pitt (trading as Lotus Oriental Therapies),his servants or agents.
